DOKUZ HEALTH APP PRIVACY NOTICE
BUODokuz OÜ (“We”, “Our” Us” and “Dokuz Health”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy (together with Our Terms of Service) sets out the basis on which any personal data We collect from You, or that you provide to Us, will be processed by Us. Dokuz Health may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes We may make to Our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you in writing.
Dokuz Health is an app to help international patients (“User”) book appointments from medical institutions (“Businesses”) online. Dokuz Health stores and processes personal data on behalf of Businesses that use the services. To provide Our service We use some sub-processors and We make sure they adhere to the same standards of data protection that We do. Personal data is never sold to third parties.
What Data Do We Collect and Process?
I. Creating an Account
When you choose to sign-up with your e-mail, via the form you fill out, we collect your name-surname, country code, phone number and e-mail address. We use that data to create your user account. We process these personal data in order to fulfill our contract with you and to provide you with our services on legal basis “processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”.
II. Medication Reminder
If you prefer to set a reminder for your medications on Dokuz Health, we will use your medication information (name, description, frequency of use, days of use time of use, and dose) based on your consent to create you a reminder to take your medications. You can change/delete your medication and revoke your consent. If you save your medication on the app we may send you notifications to remind you to take your medications.
III. Creating an Appointment
On Dokuz Health app, you can contact the doctor or health institution you want to make an appointment with and create an appointment. We will use your appointment information to create the account and enable you to contact the doctor or health care provider. This data will be processed by Dokuz Health through fully automatic means, on legal basis “processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”.
After you create your appointment, if you want to set a reminder for your appointment on your phone, you can allow the Dokuz Health application to access your Calendar. If you give permission, the app will access your calendar and create a reminder for your appointment.
In addition, after the appointment is created, your contact information may be used to send you an e-mail/SMS containing the appointment details.
IV. Contact Form
If you use the contact form, your personal data that you share with us in the content of the contact form will be processed by Dokuz Health for the purpose of fulfillment of your requests/complaints on legal basis “processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”.
Disclosure of Your Information
Dokuz Health protects personal information. We will not sell, distribute, or lease any of your information to third parties without your permission or without a legal basis.
We may disclose your personal information to 3rd parties under circumstances below:
I. Creating an Appointment
If you create an appointment, your name, surname, contact details, and appointment information will be transferred the doctor or health institution on legal basis “processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract”.
II. Call Center
When you call our call center, your call may be recorded for quality assurance and it is transferred to Dokuz Health through our supplier of cloud call center service. The legal ground of these processing and transfer is the legitimate interest of Dokuz Health.
When We Erase Data
Dokuz Health will process User Data only for so long as is necessary for the performance of the Services. If you delete your account, then the Personal Data stored in Dokuz Health related to that account is deleted. Where it is possible to perform our services by using anonymized data in respect of former Individual Users, We will anonymize such data.

How We Handle Personal Data Securely
We take security extremely seriously and have multiple technologies, processes, and security protocols to protect against the loss or theft of personal data. Our security processes include Encryption, Access Controls, Data, Testing & Improving, and Personal Data Breach Reporting (earlier than 72 hours).
You are required and responsible for keeping your password secure and your browser, device (such as laptop), and antivirus up to date.
Dokuz Health complies with all statutory requirements of privacy regulations that may apply by taking all reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of your personal data. We use external servers monitored by Amazon Web Services in EU.
Dokuz Health has no direct access to personal information. Personal information can only be partially accessed for technical support, billing, or maintenance reasons only. Dokuz Health has strict internal data handling policies that all employees with access to data commit to.
Data subject rights
If you would like a copy of the information held, would like to delete the information Dokuzhealth holds on you, or if you believe that any information, We are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete please contact Us via info@dokuzhealth.com
